Convention Information

The challenges we face today are much different than in previous generations. This year’s convention is timely in offering encouragement and empowerment for the future. Whether you have a rich generational Christian heritage, are a first-generation Christian or somewhere in between, the Lord promises blessing!
All three days present sessions for beginners, but Thursday is foundational. Please don’t miss it! Home education is much more than just duplicating school at home. During this special path of workshops, you will find out why and how to make home education work the best for your family. This informative pathway will bring the knowledge and direction you need to get started on the right foot. Gain insight about the law, choosing curriculum, learning styles, methods and setting a framework for your day.
Attending the ICHE convention can be overwhelming! With so many sessions to choose from, so many people to talk with, so many exhibitors to visit, so many books to look through it's best to set a plan for your day ahead of time. Here are a few tips from parents who have attended the convention in previous years. Have any to add? Drop us an email info@iche.org with "Convention Tips" in the subject line.
Visit the ICHE Homeschool Oasis in the Ministry Training Center Room 130 just outside the entrance of the Exhibit Hall or the ICHE Book Table in the lobby where experienced home educators will be happy to assist you as you start your homeschooling journey!
Please make your own arrangements and book early! There are many hotels in the Naperville area. The best pricing can be found online directly through the hotel website of your choice. Some of the most convenient locations are:
Every year, dozens of wonderful, servant-hearted attendees willingly sacrifice part of their time at the convention. Why? Because they understand that without their help, it would be impossible to have a convention the average home school family could afford to attend.
We do not encourage children under 11 years of age to attend the convention. Our goal is to educate parents, and we feel that children will benefit more, in the long run, from having parents attend the convention, than from being there themselves. Nevertheless, if you feel it is necessary to bring your young children...

Bring your name badge to Registration in the Atrium of the church to pick up your handbook, badge cover and freebies! Name badges are to be worn at all times. They are your proof of registration.
Registration remains open throughout the convention. Add a day if you like, or bring a friend. They will be able to register at the door. Except for emergencies, there will be no refunds after June 1st.
Calvary’s food facilities include both a coffee shop and a cafeteria that serves breakfast lunch & dinner. In addition there will be several snack stations. The Café provides an extensive, affordable menu. You are also welcome to bring your own food, and restaurants in the vicinity are numerous. Food and drinks are permitted anywhere in the building except the Sanctuary and the Seminar Room.
Visit our expanded Exhibit Hall housing even more exhibitors with a Biblical worldview! More than 70 handpicked exhibitors from all over the country will be on site with the best educational materials. Be academically inspired with minimal filtering necessary.
Finding your way to Calvary Church has been mapped out for you below, or if you prefer to use a GPS or internet map, the address is 9s200 State Route 59, Naperville, IL 60564
