Convention Information
- -Four homeschooling families organized ICHE in 1983!
- -ICHE has been serving Illinois for 27 years!
- -We have our finger on the pulse of homeschooling legislations and legally intercede on behalf of our
freedoms and rights to educate our children.
- -Encouragement and support are offered by ICHE to individuals and support groups through various events,
email communiques, informative articles, CS's and books. - -The office repsonds to several thousand phone calls and emails annually!
- -ICHE leaders meet at least twice a month and pray for the Illinois homeschooling community.
- -The members of the Board and Convention Committee are volunteers!
- -The spring convention is run by over 100 fellow home educators donating their time.
- -The first ICHE convention took place in July of 1984!
- -Every ICHE event is staffed by volunteers..not entreprenurs! Money paid for an event goes directly into the
ministry of supporting home educating families in Illinois!

On this journey we have witnessed an explosion in growth of homeschooling, the trends in home education and the ministry of Illinois Christian Home Educators. Our vision remains the same ~ to see families transformed by God’s powerful Word! It continues to be a great joy and honor to serve you, our homeschooling friends!
