Ham, a native Australian now residing near Cincinnati, Ohio, is the author of numerous books on the book of Genesis, the accuracy and authority of the Bible, dinosaurs, and the destructive fruits of evolutionary thinking including his new co-authored book Already Gone on why so many young people are leaving the church, a hard-hitting book on the “races” and racism, Darwin’s Plantation, and the bestseller, The Lie: Evolution. He appears frequently on American TV. In one year alone, he was a guest on Fox’s O’Reilly Factor and Fox and Friends in the Morning, CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, ABC’s Good Morning America and BBC radio/TV. Keynote: The Genesis Family: Raising Godly Children in an Ungodly World

Speaker(s):
Ken Ham
In this discussion, Ken Ham will give his testimony about his own upbringing in helping parents understand the importance of training children from a truly Biblical foundation. Ken will also give his answers to such questions as: Should students attend public schools? Is there a case for homeschooling? What does the Bible say (not your opinion) on how to bring up children, how to train them, how to discipline children, and how to educate them? What should the priorities be in education?

Keynote: Key to Rebuilding the Foundation in Family and Culture

Speaker(s):
Ken Ham
Most people have the erroneous idea that the Bible is just a book of religion, morality and salvation. But the Bible is much more: it’s also a book of history, and deals with the “big picture” aspects of every area of reality, including geology, astronomy, biology, anthropology, physics, chemistry and so on. The key to developing a Christian world-view and rebuilding the Biblical foundation that has been so undermined in our culture, is to use the Bible’s history—encompassing geology, astronomy, biology, etc.—as a pair of Biblical glasses.

Six Days or Millions of Years?

Speaker(s):
Ken Ham
The Bible states that if Christ be not raised from the dead, our faith is in vain. Of course, it doesn’t say that if you refuse to believe in six literal days of creation our faith is in vain.

Defending the Christian Faith: Fossils and the Flood

Speaker(s):
Ken Ham
Most people have the erroneous idea that fossils were laid down over millions of years in numerous sedimentary strata that we find over the earth’s surface. In this session, however, you’ll learn why fossils i.e., dead things, could not have been formed before Adam sinned. Also, you’ll discover how the Flood provides the best explanation for what we observe in the fossil record over the earth. In addition, evidences consistent with a young earth will be shared.

The Origin of Races

Speaker(s):
Ken Ham
Because much of the church has adopted the secular world’s teachings regarding the different “races” and has not accepted the Biblical view, most Christians have lost a vital truth concerning the Scriptural teaching on the two spiritual races (but only one physical race), as opposed to the false idea of different biological races.

Learning How to Think Biblically

Speaker(s):
Ken Ham
Many people have the idea that the battle between Christianity and humanism, or creation and evolution, is a battle over “facts”. However, it’s not that Christians need more facts than non-Christians to supposedly win the argument, for the real battle is actually over the interpretation of the same facts. Until Christians understand that everyone has the same facts but different interpretations of those facts based upon different presuppositions or biases, they will not be successful in learning how to defend the Christian faith and think in a true Biblical manner.

Dinosaurs and the Bible

Speaker(s):
Ken Ham
Dinosaurs are probably used more than anything to convince children and even adults that the Bible is not true and that you have to believe in millions of years. Sadly, many people think that the Bible has nothing to do with dinosaurs. However, once you accept the true history of the world as given in the Bible particularly the first eleven chapters of the book of Genesis, you can easily understand dinosaurs … and thus correctly interpret the evidence from the fossils to correctly understand dinosaurs.

Keynote: Daring to Ask for More

Speaker(s):
Eric Ludy
There is a common spiritual ache that bonds us together and longs for more of Jesus Christ. We all, at various points within our spiritual journeys, have wondered if what modern Christianity is, is all God intended it to be. The question, "Is there more to this thing called Christianity?" pokes at us all. We have come to the conclusion that there is a lot more of Jesus to be had. So we ask daily for Christ to increase within us, to expand our love, to enlarge our faith and to increase our strength, courage and daring.

Hero-Training

Speaker(s):
Eric Ludy
Plain and simple - God builds heroes. He doesn't build self-centered egotists, or self-obsessed circus clowns - He builds men and women who have wholly forgotten themselves and are ready to spend and be spent for the glory of Almighty God. And He calls such a masterpiece a "Christian."

Wings as Eagles

Speaker(s):
Eric Ludy
God is in the business of building spiritual athletes - men and women that are honed and ready for spiritual battle - men and women that refuse to grow weary even though there are justifiable reasons for fainting and giving way to exhaustion. This is the message for those moments when the enemy is whispering, "Just give up, just give in, just go to sleep, just lay down your sword." The Christian's answer must be a resolute, "NO!"

The Costly Gospel

Speaker(s):
Eric Ludy
If the power of the Gospel is to be fully realized in the life of a believer, then that believer must first be emptied. The principle of the Gospel is always "first death, then life." Mary of Bethany took her most precious possession, the alabaster of spikenard, and poured it out upon Jesus’ feet. Those near grumbled that the cost of such a precious treasure was wasted in that fashion, but Jesus responded by declaring that such an act was a clear enunciation of the Gospel life. Taking on the life of Jesus Christ comes with a stiff cost - it means giving up everything.

The Measurement of a Man

Speaker(s):
Eric Ludy
Just as there are gradients to the color blue, there are gradients to the grandeur and substance of a Godly man. On a scale of 1 to 10, Jesus ranks a ten - the deepest and richest royal shade of blue. He was the perfect man, demonstrating the heavenly hues of majesty and holiness. Jesus has set forth a pattern for manhood. And it is a standard so far beyond the average pew sitting man of our day. So, the question is . . . are we to ignore Christ's righteous pattern or are we to expect God to work the almighty manly pattern into our manhood?

Praying Through

Speaker(s):
Eric Ludy
The historic concept of "praying through" has gone missing in our modern day version of Christianity. But "praying through" was the essence of the George Muller, Rees Howells, John Hyde, Hudson Taylor, William Booth, Leonard Ravenhill, C.T. Studd model for effectual fervent praying. How do we get this powerful, wrestling, persistent prayer back to the center of Christian life in our day?

The Angry Child: What Ticks Johnny Off?

Speaker(s):
Mike Smith
Have any of your children demonstrated a tendency toward anger or a bad temper? If so, this session is absolutely essential for you. Anger is a God-given emotion and did not come about as a result of the Fall. However, the Bible says, “Be angry, and sin not.” This talk addresses anger from a Biblical perspective, focusing on the positive and negative aspects of anger. Michael Smith also delineates the five steps that lead to rebellion.

The Power of Praise with Our Children

Speaker(s):
Mike Smith
Life and death is in the power of tongue. Deep scars can occur as a result of negative, condemning words and withholding of praise and affirmation. The goal of this talk is to ensure that our children do not grow up feeling rejection from us as parents because of bad communication. This talk uses James 3:1–10 as a model for how we use words to edify and build up rather than to tear down. The talk will explore some ways that we use our tongue to injure our children and how we can use our tongue as an instrument of blessing.

How Can We Afford to Homeschool?–Homeschooling through Hard Times

Speaker(s):
Mike Smith
In these difficult times— when an economy is in recession, high unemployment rates and inflation on the rise— it is becoming increasingly difficult for homeschooling parents to provide basic necessities for their families, never mind the added expense of home education. The number of single-income households, which were the norm 60 years ago, is decreasing as both parents enter the workforce in order to pay the bills.

Extremely happily married since 1979, Bill and Diana Waring homeschooled their three children nearly twenty years. The now grown Waring kids were the proving grounds for all the concepts and encouragements Bill and Diana teach—real-life examples of the wonders of homeschooling!

Their mission is to serve families by encouraging, equipping, and educating in an entertaining way. Diana and Bill have spoken and written for the Christian homeschool and private school community for over 20 years. Through their business/ministry Diana Waring Presents, formerly Diana Waring-History Alive!, they have met and talked with homeschoolers in 46 states, half of Canada, and three other continents. The curriculum for world history study Diana wrote, beginning in 1994, has been growing and expanding. She is in the midst of a seven-year effort to update and expand the research and presentation of the material. She is well known for her rapid-fire history recordings and workshops, but is also appreciated for her workshops and books of homeschool encouragement, like Beyond Survival and Reaping the Harvest. Some of these fascinating concepts received emphasis while she was reading and being mentored concerning how students learn and how teachers can facilitate learning. They currently serve on the Board of Directors for Washington Association of Teaching Christian Homes

Instead of falling victim to preconceived judgments, from ourselves or from others, let's learn to find God's way for us in this homeschooling journey.

Actively ENGAGE Learning & Actually ENJOY Learning!

Speaker(s):
Diana Waring
One of the biggest questions people ask is, "How do I get my kids to finish their school work?" The deeper question is actually, "How do I get my kids to be self-motivated?" We will examine the answers to these critical questions, and look at specific ways to encourage and assist our children in developing ownership of their education. We must learn the critical difference between controlling and directing; between pushing and releasing; between coercing and facilitating.

Diana Waring
This workshop combines Diana's love for homeschoolers with her joy in historical figures as she aims her famous storytelling skills toward four revered Christian heroes. What can homeschool families learn from these ordinary people whom God used in extraordinary ways? The heroes of the faith include George Muller, Amy Carmichael, Eric Liddel ~ famous from the movie Chariots of Fire ~ and Gladys Aylward.
