![]() You may wonder who makes up the ICHE board and volunteers. We are homeschool moms and dads just like you, and we are dedicated to serving you and your families! Most of us are still in the thick of it, educating our children. Some of us are grandparents as well and looking ahead to the joy of watching our children homeschool our grandchildren. We have seen the advantages of not imitating the age segregated classroom model with our children but instead experienced the benefits of the parent to child discipleship model worked out right in our homes. Each year we work diligently to put on a conference that will fully equip families for the joyful task the Lord has put before us.
In recent years we have seen more and more events sponsored by entrepreneurs trying to attract homeschool families. When these events are over, their sponsors head home with the profits. When ICHE puts on a conference the money doesn’t go into our pockets. It goes totally back into supporting and protecting home education here in Illinois. When you choose to attend this convention, you are supporting Illinois homeschooling in many ways! Foundationally, our Legislative Task Force keeps a watchful eye on the state legislature and protects our educational freedoms. By supporting ICHE, your state organization, you can affect your children and grandchildren’s freedom to home educate! ICHE has a history that stretches back almost 30 years, and we will be here after this event is over ~ answering questions, lifting up families and encouraging people in Christ however we can!
We are sincerely grateful for each family that chooses to partner with ICHE throughout the year. Your support ensures that our ministry to families can continue and grow. May the Lord richly bless your family, and thank you for choosing ICHE as we seek to serve His Kingdom 365 days a year!
Serving you with great joy,
The ICHE Board and Officers
